Position Description: The Regional Sales Manager 2 position for the Automotive/DIY division will serve as our front-line contact, interfacing with key accounts and increasing market share at specific accounts in the Automotive/DIY markets. The role will also be asked to provide input into the annual forecasting and planning process for the Division.
**Qualified candidates will live in the Midwest and be open to 35% travel

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom business plans and strategies for the specified account list consistent with Streamlight’s annual plan
  • Execute the plans and strategies consistent with the company’s annual plan
  • Assume the leadership role in managing individual account development and coordinate communication, goals, expectations and execution within Streamlight
  • Drive sales in the Automotive/DIY division that contributes to the division meeting its annual sales plan
  • Work independently and with Rep Agencies to grow Streamlight sales and market share with distributor network in respective territories.
  • Manage programs/promos through distribution network. Track market pricing conditions and competitive distribution programs and provide information to Streamlight Corporate to help improve our programs
  • Work with Director on providing input annually for operating plan and forecasting process
  • Provide input based on market knowledge and customer needs for the new product development process
  • Report and track the progress of all key accounts special pricing, program offers and annual co-op and rebate programs and ensure that all are properly recorded and administered
  • Track, measure and report on a regular basis the actions required to meet goals and objectives for each national account
  • Work with Streamlight’s accounting department in assuring timely program communication. Assure that programs are documented and rebate accruals are in place
  • Engage in customer satisfaction/customer loyalty activities where necessary to assure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Available for approximately 30-35% travel to meet with national accounts, assist with customer shows and training commitments and support national trade show functions
  • Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in dealer/distributor sales, preferably in automotive or related market
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, negotiate and create sales opportunities
  • Proven ability to achieve established sales goals while maintaining profitability
  • Proven leadership skills as well as ability to be a team player
